Responsibilities:
Digital Engagement
- Assisting with managing Dance Arts’s social channels, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and LinkedIn.
- Researching and organizing digital cross-promotional opportunities within the industry.
- Helping curate and develop creative and engaging digital and social media content to promote and instigate buzz/conversation about Dance Arts’s various activities.
- Monitoring various social media channels for trending topics and conversations in the fields of dance, dance training, and the performing arts and identify opportunities for engagement.
- Scouring the digital world to identify important social media connections for Dance Arts.
- Assisting with creating and tracking digital ad campaigns.
- Assisting with curating and creating new digital content.
- Assisting with digital engagement to support Dance Arts’s philanthropic efforts.
- Supporting digital communications including, website and newsletters.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Assisting with the execution of fundraising campaigns.
- Assisting with the analysis of fundraising campaigns.
- Helping execute tax receipt mailings and thank you letters.
- Assisting with stewardship and cultivation activities for all stakeholders.
- Assisting with alumni engagement.
- Assisting with school events and performances.
- Other administrative tasks as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Strong personal social media presence and passion about all things social and the role of social media in a professional/educational setting.
- Knowledge of content creation and video production, including familiarity with editing software.
- Strong writing skills and ability to express fresh, engaging ideas in copy.
- Creative visual eye and interest in creating engaging digital content for different channels.
- Microsoft Office proficiency and familiarity with (or willingness to learn) Asana, Canva, -Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and Zoom conferencing applications.
- Interest in dance and the performing arts and/or working in a non-profit environment.
- Interest in professional communications for fundraising/philanthropy.
- Knowledge of (or interest in learning) Google Analytics, Hootsuite, Facebook/Instagram Ads, and other social media management tools.
- Enthusiasm and a flexible can-do attitude; strong communication focus and team working abilities.
