Position Title: Social Media and Marketing Intern

Bad Parade is a full service, boutique music PR company, offering artists and bands support for all of their musical releases, from singles and albums to videos and tours. Each campaign is completely customized to the needs/wants of the artists and every campaign includes comprehensive weekly reports that last the duration of the project. Our goal is to secure each artist maximum coverage throughout the campaign, and have them featured in newspapers, magazines, online blogs, on radio, on television, and more.
Job Description:
This internship focuses on social media, marketing, media research, and media monitoring, and aims to offer an experiential learning opportunity on the social media and marketing side of Bad Parade. The intern will conduct research, design and create engaging, one of a kind content, write creative copy, as well as engage with artists, industry, and media online.
- Provide creative and executional support for social media marketing
- Engage across online platforms with artists, media, and industry professionals
- Create content for website and social media platforms
- Use social media platforms like TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, and LinkedIn
- Assist with preparing reports using Facebook Insights, X Analytics, Google Analytics
- Collect and compile information for multiplatform campaign reporting, along with other internal requests
- Create lists of relevant social profiles across multiple platforms, monitor on an ongoing basis
- Proofread marketing assets to ensure their accuracy and alignment to brief
- Database upkeep
- Press monitoring, clippings and reports
- Develop outreach strategy to connect with local communities
- Research media outlets and contacts
Qualifications:
- Communication skills: You have strong written and communication skills that will allow you to articulate our value proposition through your writing
- Ability to Research: Experience in performing analytical research (e.g. analyzing competitor and internal data)
- Hungry to Learn: You don't just study a topic, you deconstruct it, learn it inside and out and become an expert
- Resourceful: You're resourceful and love the idea of being a critical part of a small scrappy team trying to find creative ways to take on a massive, antiquated insurance industry
