Company Bio:

The Canada Black Music Archives (CBMA) is a digital archive of historical photos, articles, discographies, video and audio recordings as well as flyers and posters featuring Canadian Black music artists stretching from the 19th century to the 21st century. The CBMA’s mission is to research, celebrate and preserve the historical contributions of Canada’s Black music artists. The CBMA contains various Black music genres and will become part of the historical record and our continuing memory as Canadians. The archive is available online and accessible to all.

Job Description:

You will research and write biographical material for the CBMA as well as edit and proofread content for consistency. You will work with a diverse team and report directly to our Executive Director.

Tasks:
• Create and produce biographical content for the CBMA website and social media channels
• Research and write engaging blog posts and marketing materials
• Edit and proofread content to ensure accuracy and consistency

• Ability to work independently and with a team of interns
