Position Title: Communications Lead
Working Site’s Location: Remote

Company Bio:

Cyanic Clothing is a brand that has proudly manufactured and designed Canadian Made apparel blending streetwear and social impact for nearly a decade.

We have taken this experience and pivoted into two separate operations: 1) manufacturing for other organizations, and 2) creating exciting campaigns blending fashion and social change.

We have primarily worked with universities and have proudly partnered with several organizations including York University, U of T, and TMU.

Job Description:

Digital Tasks

  • Create and implement a social media strategy (specifically on IG)
  • Assist in designing a website for Cyanic's wholesale operations (currently under renovation)
  • Assist in the preparation of other marketing content when necessary
  • Assist in finding new customer segments, and marketing to them

Creative Tasks

  • Regularly looking for events/themes to connect social causes to universities through fashion (Black History Month, Mental Health Awareness Month)
  • Brainstorming and planning with our team the execution of these projects
  • Creating and implementing creative solutions to solve challenges students and universities are currently facing (students thrifting vs. buying new, sustainability)

Qualifications:

The Successful applicant will be:

  • Experienced creating social media strategies for businesses
  • Passionate about fashion or social impact
  • Creative and possess the ability to think outside the box
  • Willing to collaborate with leaders of Student Associations at different universities
  • Willing to experiment with new approaches to communication and media
  • Proficient in both their oral and written communication

Additional Assets:

  • A knowledge of the university landscape, specifically within fashion or university social initiatives
  • Experience with photography or videography
  • Experience within the fashion industry
  • A passion for social change
  • Photo/video editing software experience
