Job Description:

Radiate Media by Özlü is looking for a Marketing & Communications Assistant to support and execute creative business and communications growth strategies. With a focus on multi-platform content production and campaign development, the successful candidate will have a passion for contributing to positive change, specifically in the intersectional gender equity space, and be eager to contribute their skills to make a difference. This is a fun and exciting way to gain hands-on experience at a woman-led, impact-driven small business working at the intersection of STEM and arts. You’ll play a pivotal role in expanding this mission-driven brand's online presence, supporting rebranding efforts, engaging with the community, producing content in line with business objectives, and other duties, as requested. The Marketing & Communications Assistant will work directly with the Founder and have direct access to a multi-faceted network across the STEM and arts industries.

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity and experience using major social media platforms and management tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Video editing experience, preferred
  • Demonstrated interest or experience in the social impact space, with a focus on intersectional gender equity
  • A high-level understanding of the importance of diversity, equity, inclusion, decolonization, and belonging in the business environment
  • Ability to analyze data and draw insights
  • Creative self-starter that embraces collaboration and takes initiative
  • Strong work ethic and the ability to work independently
  • Experience with graphic design tools, SEO, and digital marketing strategies is a plus
  • Knowledge of screen-based media landscape in North America and major outlets, preferred

Additional Assets:

  • Knowledge of Google docs, sheets, and how to collaborate on this platform
  • Knowledge of Canva, After Effects or other video editing software
  • Understanding of podcasts and how to promote them in the digital environment
