McLaughlin College History

Founded in 1968, McLaughlin College was named in honour of the late Colonel Robert Samuel McLaughlin, a Canadian business pioneer. We give special attention to improving society from the local community to international relations.

McLaughlin’s founding college head, George Tatham, insisted the college emphasize the whole person. Accordingly, the arts, music, poetry and athletics all have a prominent place in student life at McLaughlin College.
