Middle- and Upper-Year Experience

LA&PS Colleges run a number of initiatives aimed at supporting middle- and upper-year students, which are offered through Vanier College, including the LA&PS Student Resource Guide, Leading with LA&PS, Pizza with Profs and Support for LA&PS Clubs & College Councils.

LA&PS Student Resource Guide

All middle- and upper-year students are automatically enrolled into the LA&PS Student Resource Guide site on eClass, designed to support LA&PS students at study level 2, 3, and 4.

This platform features an events calendar listing a variety of events volunteer and mentoring opportunities. It also houses a “Graduation Checklist” showing the steps and resources needed for graduation. Also included is a series of pages with curated links to academic supports, student services, funding opportunities, health and wellbeing, etc. across campus, a “one-stop shop” for critical resources for middle and upper years. Modules that support transitioning ‘out’ of undergrad programs and on to careers, graduate school, and other paths, will be available on: Leadership Skills, Career Preparation, and Graduation prep. This portal facilitates a smooth adaptation for students coming from the “First Year Experience” eClass.

The LA&PS Student Resource Guide serves as a virtual, 24/7 equivalent of the Community Hub (VC 001), located in the basement of Vanier. Serving as a study space, social community (with games, books, toys, etc), resource hub (brochures, links), and venue for easy tabling (e.g., clubs, support services, etc).
