Sara Thompson (she/her) is a folklorist & pop culture scholar; she holds a BA(hons) in Celtic Studies from the University of Toronto and an MA in Interdisciplinary Studies at York University, where she mingled literary studies, folklore, gender studies, and theatre studies to explore fairy tales. She has taught at York for over twenty years, in Humanities, History, DLLL, and the Children, Childhood & Youth program. Current research focuses on contemporary Renaissance Festivals in the United States and the performance and embodiment of American identities.
