Italian Medieval and Renaissance Civilization

This course examines the main aspects of the Italian Renaissance focusing on the Florentine contribution to the great transformation in literature and the arts in the context of the social and political changes taking place from the 14th to the 16th centuries. Course credit exclusion: AP/IT 3760 3.0, AP/HUMA 3610 3.0. PRIOR TO FALL 2009: Course credit exclusions: AS/IT 3760 3.00 and AS/IT 3761 3.00.
Note: This course takes place in Florence, Italy.
Language of Instruction: English. Students enrolled in an Italian Studies Major or Minor program may be required to complete coursework in Italian.
