Former student, Yusuf Saadi, publishes first book of poetry

Yusuf Saadi’s first collection is Pluviophile (Nightwood Editions 2020). He graduated from York’s creative writing program in 2013, and won the 2016 Vallum Chapbook Award and The Malahat Reviews 2016 Far Horizons Award for Poetry. At other times, his writing has appeared in journals/anthologies including Best Canadian Poetry 2019, The Malahat Review, Vallum, Brick, Best Canadian Poetry 2018, Arc, Grain, CV2, and The Puritan. He holds an MA in English from the University of Victoria and currently lives in Montreal.
