AP/EN 2170 3.0 Horror and Terror: Variations on Gothic

The course addresses Gothic as a popular genre eliciting and managing fear, whether accompanied by anticipation and dread (terror) or confrontation and disgust (horror). Attention is paid to Gothic’s 18th-century origins, but the focus is on more recent texts.
