What is a Panel Hearing?

A panel hearing is a meeting held at the faculty-level before an impartial panel. The panel includes two (2) faculty members and one (1) student representative. The Associate Dean, Teaching & Learning is in attendance to present the case before the Panel. A Department/School representative and the Course Director might also be in attendance. The main functions of the panel hearing are to determine if a breach of the policy occurred and to determine an appropriate penalty.
