Exploring Feminism Together at York (EFTY)

Exploring Feminism Together @ York is a learning community. In our first year together, we have engaged in a creative learning practice, talking about feminism and feminist history, and reflecting on today’s challenging politics and environment in this rapidly changing world.

With an activist spirit, we're interested in anti-oppression frameworks and action over words. For example, together with the Sexual Education Centre @ York (SECY) we rallied with the 2024 Toronto Women’s Day March, as well as hosted a zoom presentation and discussion with the Program Director of York’s Office of Sustainability to encourage a shared vision toward fostering community wellness and safety.

No experience or previous education is required! We recognize the fluidity and multiple interpretations of feminism and celebrate and support this diversity. We value differing interests and opinions and all are welcome! We meet both in-person and on-line every month or two. Our cool office is located in the School of Gender & Women’s Studies at Founder’s College. Snacks will be available for any in-person meetings.
