The Sexual Education Collective at York (SECY)

The Sexual Education Collective at York is an undergraduate student association for students in the Sexuality Studies program. We welcome students from outside the major, and hope to encourage interest in SXST courses. We run a community closet for sexual health resources such as condoms, dental dams and pregnancy tests; as well as host educational and fun events throughout the year! Our goal is to foster an environment of sex positivity, informed sexual knowledge, and be encouraging of consent on the York University campus. This undergraduate student club is located in Founders College Room 206 S.

The Sexual Education Collective at York provides students with physical resources such as sexual barrier items (i.e. condoms, dental dams), as well as facilitating peer-to-peer support for students who would like to talk to someone regarding their sexual health.

We will talk to students about helping them find a sexual healthcare provider in their area, and the importance of seeking one out. We will also be conducting activism related to sexual expression, and educational programming on topics such as safer sex, consent, and personal sexual wellness. We are determined to fill the void left by the publicly funded school system, which has left many students without the proper resources and knowledge to practice safe sexual health.
