Karolyn Smardz Frost wins Ian Greene Award for Teaching Excellence

Department of History congratulates part-time colleague Karolyn Smardz Frost in winning this year’s Ian Greene Award for Teaching Excellence (in the Professor category).

The Ian Greene award, presented yesterday at the LAPS Celebration of Student Engagement, Leadership and Volunteerism, is decided upon as a result of nominations from LAPS students. There were 175 professors nominated and History’s Karolyn Smardz Frost was this year’s winner. She has been teaching HIST 4054 6.0, Slavery, the Underground Railroad and Resistance: Ontario’s African Canadian Past before 1918, and HIST 4530 6.0, The Development of Toronto.
