Four York professors honoured by Faculty of Graduate Studies (Bettina Bradbury and Marc Stein among the four)

Department of History is delighted to announce that yet another of our doctoral students has won a Postdoctoral Fellowship, which brings our tally to 4 for this year. Dr. Jennifer Ellison won a two-year Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Centre for Canadian Studies at Mount Allison University to work on a project entitled “Feminist Activism and the Promise of Self-Esteem.” Dr. Ellison defended her doctoral dissertation, “Large as Life: Self-Acceptance and the Fat Body in Canada, 1977-2000” in May 2010. She was supervised by Kathryn McPherson.
