Bettina Bradbury short-listed for the 2012 Sir John A. Macdonald Prize

The Department of History congratulates Bettina Bradbury on being short-listed for the 2012 Sir John A. Macdonald Prize of the Canadian Historical Association for her book: Wife to Widow: Lives, Laws, and Politics in Nineteenth-Century Montreal (UBC Press, 2011).

The award will be presented by the CHA at its Annual Meeting at the University of Waterloo and Wilfrid Laurier University, May 28 to 30. This prestigious prize is awarded for “the non-fiction work of Canadian history judged to have made the most significant contribution to an understanding of the Canadian past.”
