Christopher Grafos, Ph.D., completed his doctoral thesis at York University in 2017. His research examines the Greek Anti-Dictatorship Movement in Toronto and Montreal (1967 to 1974) alongside Canadian immigration policy.

Christopher is the course director of HIST 3356 – Greeks in the World: A History of Greek Migration. The course examines the history of migration from Greece to North America with a focus on the twentieth century. Among other major themes, the course covers historical moments like the 1918 Anti-Greek Riots in Toronto and second-generation perceptions of ethnicity and belonging.

Christopher is co-founder of the Greek Canadian History Project, which is now the HHF Greek Canadian Archives. These archival collections are housed at the Clara Thomas Archives and Special Collections – York University Libraries (read more about the origins of this initiative in YFile).

In addition to these endeavors Christopher writes a weekly blog dedicated to helping students with scholarship and grant applications.
