Congratulations to Melodi Armond, who is a third-year Double Major in Psychology and Classical Studies, and has won the MOSAIC AWARD from the Classical Association of Canada/Société Canadienne des Études Classiques in its inaugural year.
The Association´s MOSAIC award seeks to encourage and support students from historically underrepresented groups in Canada, such as visible minorities and indigenous populations, in the discipline of Classics. One award is offered each year. Applicants must identify as an underrepresented group, be Canadian students (citizens or permanent residents) and currently enrolled in an undergraduate program in Classics or similar program at a Canadian University. The main criterion is academic achievement.
On behalf of the entire Classical Studies Programme, many congratulations, Melodi! You so richly deserve this recognition for the wonderful work you are doing. You are an inspiration to your fellow students and to those of us who teach you.
