At the third-year level, Christopher Bauer won for his essay “When Myth Meets the Moment: How the Ancient Greek Tragedians Constructed the Age of Heroes to Explore Their Contemporary Society”. And Elaine Slonim won at the fourth-year level for her essay “Ovid’s Epistulae ex Ponto: Letters as Poems, Poems as Gifts”.
