Dan Azoulay

Over the last 30 years Dr. Azoulay has taught at McMaster, Trent, University of Toronto, and York, with a focus on modern Canadian social and political history. His research interests include the rituals and perceptions of romance, Canadian socialism, party organization, and female political activism in 20th-century Canada. His latest book is entitled Hearts and Minds: Canadian Romance at the Dawn of the Modern Era, 1900-1930 (University of Calgary Press, 2011), and he has just submitted for publication a new manuscript entitled Venus Passing: The Great War and the Death of Romance, concerning the impact of World War One on Canadian romance.
