AP/HUMA 4301 3.00
Horror, Crime, and the Law in Indigenous and African Diaspora Fiction and Performance
The course engages with horror and crime fiction, films, plays, and the graphic novel, as well as the latter’s adaptations to multiplayer online gaming. While detective fiction and the mystery novel have a growing body of recent scholarship in the interdisciplinary field of law and literature, the study of the horror genre, as a critique of the injustice of the law, has not received a great deal of scholarly attention.
