Information Technology and Engineering among the Highest Employment Rates
Although most degrees held by adults are in business, administration or law, it is STEM-related fields (which include Information Technology) that enjoy a higher employment rate, according to a recent OECD Report In particular, while 4% of adults hold degrees in ICT, they can expect 7% higher employment rate than graduates of arts and humanities or from social sciences, journalism and information. Interestingly, “natural sciences, mathematics and statistics graduates are more likely to have similar employment rates as arts and humanities graduates – both lower than the rates enjoyed by engineers or ICT specialists”, the report mentions.
