A paid, full-time work experience with an industry partner from the FinTech space. It requires students to take a break from fulltime academic studies for the duration of the work term (either 4, 8, 12 or 16 months of employment). After accepting an internship job offer at a company, students are enrolled in this course that supports learning and reflection during the work experience and maintains students’ fulltime status at the University. Industry supervisors to provide feedback and evaluation of students’ workplace performance and relevant skills, which in addition to students’ own critical reflection on the experience, are used to assess the credit/no credit grade for the work term course. Assessment is exclusively performed by a full-time faculty member of the program.
