I hope this research project uncovers both the positive and negative ideologies embedded in the Canadian identity. There are common notions of the Canadian identity which frame the nation as welcoming and multicultural, but there is also issues of nationalism and racism within our history that is often made invisible by these perceptions. This is especially important to explore during our current socio-cultural climate.
