DARE Project: Technology-mediated Language Teaching: Investigating Language Teacher Knowledge and Competencies
Program(s) of Study: Lingustics and Psychology
Project Supervisor: Antonella Valeo

As an aspiring language teacher in a fast-paced world, I hope this research will help identify gaps between traditional and modern teaching. With our experiences in the pandemic, online teaching not only became a necessity but also provided a more accessible way to enhance knowledge in remote areas of the world. The data from this research project was analyzed to identify how participants self-assess their competencies and gaps. It aims to contribute to the validation of the framework constructs and the development of future tools.

The Dean’s Award for Research Excellence (DARE) – Undergraduate enables our students to meaningfully engage in research projects supervised by LA&PS faculty members. Find out more about DARE.
