DARE Project: A knowledge synthesis of discrimination in accounting and business research
Project Supervisor: Akolisa Ufodike
Project Description:
This project will investigate questions related to race, equity and diversity. Informed by a detailed literature review of accounting research, the project’s outcomes will inform a larger, longer term initiative for potential research into the intersections of race in accounting and governance research. The project is organized around specific research questions and themes that will lay the groundwork for a broader research program. The project scope responds to calls by several business (Journal of Busines ethics) and accounting (Issues in accounting education) for special issues on new research streams focused on social justice and racial inequalities. The Dean’s Award for Research Excellence (DARE) – Undergraduate enables our students to meaningfully engage in research projects supervised by LA&PS faculty members.
