DARE Project: Examining the Impact of COVID-19 on Workers and Families in the Child Welfare System: Short- and long-term Implications
Program(s) of Study: Social Work
Project Supervisor: Sarah Maiter

As our research focuses primarily on Child Welfare Services, I hope our research can potentially provide helpful insight into supporting workers, families, and children.

Project Description:

Our project focused on analyzing and synthesizing data from recent research to write and formulate multiple papers. Throughout the project, we went from extracting themes from raw data to presenting findings through research papers. I had the opportunity to explore literature reviews, theoretical frameworks and the publication process, from revisions to the submission process.

The Dean’s Award for Research Excellence (DARE) – Undergraduate enables our students to meaningfully engage in research projects supervised by LA&PS faculty members. Find out more about DARE.
