Professor of Disaster & Emergency Management discusses how drones can disrupt wildfire response operations in article for The Conversation

Professor Ali Asgary, who teaches Disaster & Emergency Management at York University, has written an article for The Conversation discussing how the use of unauthorized drones is affecting wildfire management, more recently in Los Angeles, California and previously in Jasper, Alberta. Asgary describes why drone use in restricted areas is a serious issue and provides resources for drone users to refer to in order to understand legal flying zones.

Ali Asgary is a Profressor of Disaster & Emergency Management in the School of Administrative Studies at York University. Asgary is an expert in disaster, emergency and business continuity management and has been actively involved in research, teaching and professional activities in these fields since 1993.
