
Professor Ali Asgary, from the Disaster & Emergency Management program, has co-authored a paper published in the journal Artificial Intelligence in Medicine. The paper, entitled Leveraging deep-learning and unconventional data for real-time surveillance, forecasting, and early warning of respiratory pathogens outbreak, uses COVID-19 and influenza as case studies, devising a framework for using deep learning to collect data, monitor and predict respiratory diseases.
