School of Administrative Studies professor publishes new work on how AI can be used to tackle complex issues

Hassan Qudrat-Ullah, a professor in the School of Administrative Studies, has published four new books in 2025. One of them, Navigating Complexity: AI and Systems Thinking for Smarter Decisions, looks at how AI-powered tools can simplify decision making for leaders who are dealing with global problems and who need to consider sustainability. In the book, he uses a cross-disciplinary approach and real-world applications to look at complex issues. Qudrat-Ullah’s research interests include sustainability, global/climate change, system dynamics, decision sciences, operations and supply chain management and management education.
