Economics Professor Benjamin Sand’s 2013 co-authored paper, is referenced in The Economist article, “Lifelong learning is becoming an economic imperative.” Sand and his colleagues' work shows that since 2000, the number of high-skilled jobs in America has fallen, resulting in college-educated workers displacing less-educated workers in roles that are not as cognitively demanding.
