Global Governance & Politics in Comparative Perspective
The global order is undergoing fundamental changes, giving rise to increasingly complex problems of international organization and global governance – including international economic inequality and instability, conflict and peace-building, global environmental change, international development assistance, and humanitarian crises and intervention. How are these problems addressed at the global level? Are the mechanisms for addressing these challenges effective or just? The course addresses the above questions, giving focused attention to two dimensions of global change, the rising powers, and global governance.
