Anita Khanna Profile Picture

Anita Khanna is the National Director, Public Policy and Government Relations for United Way Centraide Canada. Previously, she was National Coordinator, Campaign 2000: End Child and Family Poverty in Canada and Director, Social Action at Family Service Toronto. She led Campaign 2000’s cross-Canada network, jointly authoring several influential reports to guide federal and provincial poverty reduction policies and cofounding the Canadian Coalition Against LGBTQ+ Poverty. Anita’s work and volunteer experience spans housing, childcare, anti-violence, immigrant, queer/trans, anti-racist, feminist and youth advocacy. She has a Master of Social Work from University of Toronto and now lives in Ottawa, on unceded, unsurrendered Algonquin territory with her partner Beth and their phenomenal child.
