Bernard Mathieson

Bernard Mathieson (pronouns he/him she/her), currently lives in Regina Saskatchewan and holds a degree in Nursing currently he is the Assistant Director responsible for Outreach and Diversion Services at the YWCA Regina, working with the most vulnerable population in Regina. Bernard is an advocate for gay rights and for those living with HIV, he currently sits on the board of directors for the Canadian AIDS Society, he is the representative for the prairies as the PLWHIV – Bernard tested positive in 2007 and has spent many years fighting the stigma associated with HIV. Bernard is also the founder of a nonprofit organization which though drag raises much needed funds for other nonprofits since 1989 has raised ½ a million. He has spent most of his adult life doing volunteer work and fund raising and advocating for those that can’t.
