Martin Blais, PhD, is a sexologist and sociologist, full professor in the Department of Sexology at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM). He also holds the Research Chair in Sexual Diversity and Gender Plurality. His research interests include sexual diversity and gender plurality. His work seeks to better understand the challenges faced by lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans, queer or questioning people (LGBTQ+) in the areas of life that are important to their development, such as family, school, workplace, health services, etc. He seeks to understand the effects of these challenges on the social inclusion, well-being, and health of LGBTQ+ people.
