Professor Hassan Qudrat-Ullah, from the School of Administrative Studies, has a new book, Creativity Loops–Based Decision Making, which presents an innovative framework for enhancing creativity in the decision-making process by applying systems thinking principles. The book proposes that creativity is a skill that can be developed with practice rather than something only a select number of people possess. It explores how systems thinking can be used as a practical tool to improve complex situations and reflects on how different types of decision making models can be used in the reader’s own life.
"Creativity isn’t a rare gift but a skill that can be cultivated, especially when we apply systems thinking to understand the intricacies of our decisions.” Says Professor Qudrat-Ullah. “Creativity Loops–Based Decision Making is about empowering readers with a framework that makes creativity an accessible, integral part of navigating complex situations in personal and professional life. By seeing connections, considering broader impacts, and iterating thoughtfully, we can unlock new possibilities for innovative solutions.”
