Professor Hassan Qudrat-Ullah has published a new book, Riding the Wave: Exploring the Realms of Autonomous Vehicles. The book examines the past, present and future of autonomous vehicles (AVs) and uses real world case studies to investigate the complex legal, regulatory and ethical considerations surrounding autonomous transportation. Hassan Qudrat-Ullah is a professor of decision sciences with the School of Administrative Studies at York University, Toronto, Canada. He is a well-known scholar in the areas of decision sciences, energy policy modeling, and system dynamics. He has authored and edited over 150 refereed publications, including 16 books (including edited volumes), 43 journal articles, and numerous conference proceedings and presentations. In 2017, he won York University’s Faculty of Liberal Arts & Professional Studies’ Excellence in Research Award. He is also an appointed member of the Program Advisory and Editorial Board of Springer Complexity, USA. He has been honoured as a state guest of Pakistan in 2016 and 2017. Hassan loves traveling and the exploration of various cultures across the globe and has been to 140 countries — partly for business and partly for pleasure.
