Steve brings years of risk management experience to York students, providing real business examples for discussion, review and consideration. He combines humour with an approach which combines part-academic, part-applied examples to make the learning experience interesting.  

Steve's board work includes having served for almost 10 years with two Canadian Federal Crown Corporations, most recently as Chair of the Governance, Risk and Strategy Committee of VIA Rail Canada Inc., and also on the board of the Standards Council of Canada. Steve currently serves as a member of the CSA Technical Risk Management Committee ISO/TC 262. He has held executive management and leadership positions with two of Canada’s largest insurance brokerages including as CEO, Region Head and National Sales Manager. In 2007 he founded his own firm.
