Happy Halloween Lions! It’s a busy time of year and while you continue to work hard, remember to explore the academic and personal supports that are available to you. We want you to feel confident in your journey and part of that comes from taking good care of yourself and getting the support you need.

Creating Space Symposium

Join us for a virtual symposium celebrating the creative and collaborative work of Creating Space: Precarious Status Women Leading Local Pandemic Responses. The symposium will feature a diverse collection of artistic audio and visual expressions of the project’s examination of the question, “How do we build collective power in the context of assigned precariousness during COVID-19?” Narratives and strategies are expressed in audio-recordings with animation, dance workshop and performance, original playscript and theatrical production, graphic visualization, music video, documentation of a Carnival and visual art.

Help the Environment for a Chance to Win Great Prizes!

 

The Re-Cup Event, which takes place from November 6 to 21, aims to raise awareness of the issue of single-use plastic waste.

To participate, simply collect plastic and single-use cups, bring them to one of the Re-Cup Sorting Stations, follow the instructions and download the EcoPrize App.

The more cups you deposit and register, the higher your chances of winning great prizes including Apple products and more!

Re-Cup Sorting Stations can be found:

Explore the Landscape of Global Migration in Toronto

 

Take a trip into the city through the lens of 13 students who took the course, Social Work with Immigrants & Refugees, as they try to learn more about why people move, how movement in search of ‘home’ shapes city spaces and whether our so-called diasporic city provides the solidarity and connections promised to immigrants.

With hundreds of photos and observations, the class explores their findings in this exciting photo-essay, Toronto: A city of crossings?

It’s Your Time to Shine at LA&PS Got Talent!

Vanier College Productions (VCP), in collaboration with Founders College, presents this fun event for the LA&PS community to come together and enjoy a showcase of our talented students.

Performances should be approximately three minutes in length and consist of ANYTHING you consider to be your talent – singing, juggling, stand-up comedy, poetry, impressions and more!
