Narmada Murugarajan, a third-year Human Resource Management student with a minor in the arts, was one of 50 artists selected for inclusion in the City of Brampton’s exhibition entitled PIXEL: Chapter 50 Digital Art Exhibition. In celebration of the city’s 50th birthday, local artists were invited to submit their work capturing the essence of the past, present and future Brampton, Ontario.
Murugarajan’s submission, Brampton in Pixels, was displayed in Garden Square for the month of October.
“Brampton in Pixels features various locations, landscapes, flora and fauna from Brampton,” explained Murugarajan. “I arranged the photos to symbolize the beauty of this city while also featuring landscapes that mean a lot to me. The clock symbolizes the past, present and future of Brampton. It is a way to show how we must pause for a second in each day to admire the city around us.”
Murugarajan takes various photography courses as part of her minor and appreciates York for providing the flexibility to do so.
Congratulations to Narmada for this achievement.
