Ayesha Tabassum

Ayesha Tabassum is a PhD Candidate at the School of Human Resources Management (SHRM) at York University, with over 10 years of teaching and research experience in Human Resource Management (HRM) and Organizational Behavior (OB). She holds a master’s degree in industrial relations and human resources (MIRHR) from the University of Toronto. Currently, she teaches various HRM courses in the undergraduate program at SHRM.

Ayesha’s research interests lie at the intersection of telework/work from home, gender in management and organizations, and sustainable development. Her dissertation focuses on examining the impact of telework on employee innovative behaviors. Her research has been published in several journals, including Gender in Management, Journal of Leadership, Accountability, and Ethics, and the Canadian Journal of Family and Youth, among others.  Ayesha currently serves as the Divisional Editor for the Human Resources division of the Administrative Science Association of Canada (ASAC) and as a member-at-large of the executive committee of the Canadian Industrial Relations Association (CIRA).
