You can choose the length and depth of specialization within your degree — whether it’s a three-year bachelor’s or more intensive four-year honours bachelor’s program. Whatever path you envision, you’ll have choices to accommodate you along the way.

Degree Requirements
Bachelor’s (BA)
A minimum of 30 course credits and at least half of the course credits must be taken at York University. Students must pass at least 90 credits which meet the Faculty’s degree and program requirements with a cumulative and major grade point average of at least 5.00. At least 18 credits at the 3000 or 4000 level and at least 18 credits outside the major are required.
Honours BA
Students must complete 42 core credits and 21 general education credits, among others. A minimum of 30 course credits and at least half of the course credits must be taken at York University. Students must pass at least 120 credits which meet the Faculty’s degree and program requirements with a cumulative grade point average of at least 5.00 and a major grade point average of at least 5.50. Students must take at least 18 credits in the major must be completed at the 4000 level and at least 36 credits at the 3000 or 4000 level. At least 18 credits outside the major are required including HH/PSYC 1010 6.00, AP/SOCI 1010 6.00.
