NEW AWARD FOR URBAN STUDIES
The Sgro Academic Leadership Entrance Award has been established 'in honour of Franco and Rosa Sgro, models of integrity, honour, and excellence, and true inspirations to their children. The Award will be given annually to an undergraduate student accepted into the Faculty of Liberal Arts and Professional Studies, or the Faculty of Environmental Studies, who intends to focus on Geography, and/or Urban Studies/Planning, To be eligible, applicants must demonstrate financial need, possess a minimum grade point average of 7.0 (B+), and a proven history of community leadership centred on improving and strengthening their home communities. Applicants must also submit a statement describing their interest in the field of Geography, Urban Studies, or Planning.
