Sociology of Conflict and Conflict Resolution
This course considers the relationship between conflict and cooperation and explores the causes, characteristics and consequences of both processes at the local, national, and global arenas. It identifies modern and the latest modes of conflicts and conflict resolution, which reflect key changes in nation-state system and global capitalism. The course also examines them through diverse sociological paradigms on violence, justice, and democracy.
