Claudia holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) and has over 30 years of experience working in the social services sector. She has worked with victims of intimate partner violence, new immigrants, refugees and people living in Canada without immigration status. In 2016, she joined child welfare and became part of a specialized team that focuses on supporting families that have immigration related issues. In 2020, she became the subject expert matter and developed an 8-course certificate program for child welfare professionals to raise awareness about the intersection between child welfare, immigration, settlement and border related issues. Claudia is the lead trainer and provides training to child welfare agencies across Canada.
