Field Instructor & Faculty Advisor
B.A in Child Psychology (minors in Youth Studies and Family Violence Prevention), HBSW, MSW with a Graduate Diploma in Refugee and Migration Studies. I am a member in good standing of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW). My volunteer and paid work experiences have been primarily in North America but also in Southern Africa supporting children, youth and individuals who have been marginalized and/or adversely impacted by natural disasters, systems and various institutions within their communities that create barriers to success. Areas of focus include varying facets of advocacy, clinical supervision, community organizing, counseling, youth and criminal justice, management, mental health, public welfare, research and international social work. My roles supporting York students include Field Supervision, Faculty Advisor role and community engagement
