Zarine Dordi

Zarine Dordi is the Community Development Coordinator at Working Women Community Centre, an agency serving newcomers and immigrants since 2004. With a Masters degree in Social Work, Zarine has imparted her knowledge and skills to over 100 Social Work students from several universities and colleges. She implements ongoing personal and professional development strategies to improve job performance, work relationships among future Social Workers.
Zarine demonstrates clear understanding of the agency supports and who is impacted by her work. She understands the organizations mission as it relates to macro/mezzo/micro perspective. She recognizes social policies that affect the organization and its services and understands the organization's policies and procedures, including those related to health and safety, human rights, ethics, discrimination, harassment, diversity and equity. She uses a critical lens to advocate for clients' needs or enhanced service delivery by analyzing the organizational, community and/or governmental structure and its impact on clients/service delivery.
