Kirk Atkinson
Kirk Atkinson has worked as a Policy Analyst in the Ontario Civil Service in the areas of workplace safety (Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, WSIB) and community economic development in Ontario (Ministry of Economic Development, Trade and Tourism, MEDTT). His teaching interests include, multilateral global governance, comparative welfare state policy, critical legal studies, comparative development and public policy in the global south (Latin America and sub-Saharan Africa), social justice and equity in liberal democratic societies, neoconstitutionalism and state autonomy. Research interests include International Political economy (global governance), Constitutional governance and democratic demands, Financialization of economic accumulation, Comparative public policy (welfare state regimes), Democratic governance, social movements, and social justice Comparative economic development and public policy.
