Shanon Kalra-Ramjoo
Shanon Kalra-Ramjoo brings over 20 years of experience in provincial, regional and local levels of government. As Associate Director of Portfolio Management at the City of Vaughan’s Public Works Department, she oversees business planning, special projects and portfolio operations in the Deputy City Manager’s Office. She was previously Manager of the Enterprise Project and Change Management / Strategic Innovation in the City’s Office of Transformation and Strategy.
Shanon has held management and senior positions at the Region of Peel in public health policy and programs, health performance and accountability and corporate strategy. Prior to this she held policy positions in various ministries at the Ontario Government in the areas of education, social assistance, municipal court services and training, colleges and universities.
Shanon has a degree in Public Policy and Administration from York University and a Master of Public Administration from the University of Toronto. She also took executive education programs at Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government in Strategic Management for Non-Profit Organizations and McMaster University in Evidence Informed Decision Making. Shanon is also a project management, change management and lean practitioner.
Currently sitting on York University’s Executive Advisory Board in the School of Public Policy and Administration, Shanon is also an Adjunct Professor teaching Program Evaluation. Shanon has held the role of Chair and currently Past Chair of the Institute of Public Administration of Canada’s (IPAC) Toronto Regional Board of Directors and previously served on board committees for the Canadian Evaluation Society (CES) and Metropolitan Action Committee on Violence Against Women and Children (METRAC).
